What You’ll Own:

  • Inventory Control: Maintain FIFO, oversee WIP/raw materials flow, and track packaging materials.

Role Overview

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, efficiency, and cleanliness of warehouse operations through consistent execution of well-documented procedures. This role focuses on organizing materials, processing returns, overseeing daily team duties, and maintaining high standards in inventory control and operational readiness.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, values precision, and takes ownership of systems and order.

Core Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Materials Management
    • Refill pick/pack stations and storage shelves using FIFO practices and inventory logs.
    • Monitor packaging materials and reorder based on restock thresholds and consumption reports.
    • Maintain clean and labeled storage for all packaging materials.
    • Oversee raw materials and WIP movement throughout the warehouse, ensuring nothing is left out, misplaced, or unlogged, and that all workstations remain clean and organized.
  • Fulfillment, Kits & Production Oversight
    • Supervise order fulfillment processes, ensuring orders picked and packed by team members meet accuracy and packaging standards.
    • Oversee kit making and related warehouse production, ensuring builds are correct, clean, and meet quality standards.
    • Communicate any changes to kit-making SOPs directly to the COO.
  • Returns & Quality Control
    • Process and log customer returns with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Identify returned items suitable for resale, scrap, or warranty evaluation.
    • Track warranty claims according to internal procedures, including coordinating with vendors, logging claim status, and ensuring timely resolution.
    • Maintain organized records of all warranty activity to support reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Oversight
    • Oversee inverter programming station, ensuring all units are prepped accurately according to current programming protocols.
  • Warehouse Standards
    • Conduct weekly audits to ensure all warehouse zones meet cleanliness, labeling, and organizational SOPs.
    • Track and order operational supplies (labels, tape, safety gear, etc.) to avoid workflow disruptions.
    • Take proactive ownership of the warehouse environment. This includes identifying inefficiencies or disorganization and taking initiative to improve them without waiting for direction. 
  • SOP Management
    • Update warehouse and kit-making SOPs as needed; submit changes for approval to COO or Director of Ops.
    • Ensure approved changes are communicated clearly and implemented with warehouse associates.

Team & Communication

  • Distribute daily task assignments to warehouse associates based on fulfillment priorities and restock needs.
  • Escalate operational issues, delays, or safety concerns to leadership in a timely and documented manner.
  • Communicate proactively with leadership and peers to uphold inventory and workflow standards.

Your role is essential in making sure those DIYers get exactly what they need, when they need it—so they can bring their projects to life with confidence.

This role is perfect for someone who is patient, precise, and dependable. You’ll enjoy an environment where tasks are orderly, repetitive, and predictable. Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently follow processes, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to the smooth flow of warehouse operations.

What You’ll Own

Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare eCommerce orders for carrier pickup. Occasionally deliver packages to USPS or UPS.

Receiving Shipments: Accept bulk shipments, verify accuracy, and restock inventory.

Kit Restocking: Replenish wiring kit shelves as sales occur.

Quality Control: Inspect all incoming and outgoing stock for damages, documenting and reporting issues.

Equipment Use: Safely operate warehouse tools and equipment, including forklifts and other stock management tools.

Warehouse Standards: Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient environment.
